Procedure for getting GSTIN number
To get the GSTIN, you need to go through a few steps:
- Check whether you are eligible for this service. You may be eligible if you are an individual or a business entity and have been assigned to collect GST from your customers (or another person/entity).
- Apply online for a unique identification number using the official website of Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN), which is www.gstnindia.gov.in . The application can be made either by filling out an online form or submitting scanned documents along with hardcopy applications at any one of its offices across India on behalf of Department of Revenue & Customs (DoRC).
- Once approved by DoRC, they will issue GSTIN within 15 days after receiving all necessary documents along with payment details like amount paid towards registration fee etc.,
Get a PAN card
If you are an individual, Hindu Undivided Family (HUF), association of persons or body of individuals, it is mandatory to get a PAN card.
The Income Tax Department issues the 10-digit alphanumeric code on request. The applicant needs to apply online at www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in and fill up Form No-1B with all details including residential address, family name, gender etc., upload photo copy of passport size photograph along with application form for getting PAN card issued by Income Tax Department through its website https://www.incometaxindiaefiling/.

If available, click on Submit and proceed to next step.
If the GSTIN is available, you will be able to see the status of your application. You can check on what stage your application is at by clicking on Submit and proceeding to next step.
If the GSTIN is not available, then it means that there was some error in filling up your form or there are some other reasons which prevented it from being processed. You will have to wait for a few days before getting another chance at submitting again with newly updated information (e-mail address).
